The U.S. Government has several $250,000 remote-controlled robots whose job is to find mines and booby traps and blow them up. Naturally, in this day and age, someone on the ground knows how to do it better and cheaper, for about $1000. Even though they use words like "ideation" here's a big HOO-RAW to Capt Jonathan Kuniholm, and LCpl Howard Akers for development above and beyond the call of duty.
Of course it helps when one of you is a PhD Candidate in Biomedical Engineering at Duke University (Hat Tip: GizModo)
