Hoping Against Hope

I don't know Spalding Gray. I admire his work, and I was upset that he was reported missing. Now I learn that his closest friends believe him dead.

Apparently Spalding Gray always suffered from depression, heightened by a horrific car accident that he was improperly treated for. But that's me reporting what little facts I know to you. The fear that a dear and close friend may be gone rattles through the writings of John Perry Barlow, who I've linked to above. May the God of all mercy grant peace and repose to the souls of Spalding and his family and friends.
